DMH/DD/SAS has contracted Pacific Institute for Research and Evaluation (PIRE) to assist the State in planning and coordinating with prevention providers to pilot and implement pre/post surveying for YPE during the 2022-23 school year. The aim of this surveying is to help understand whether program implementation is achieving the expected outcomes, as well as to inform possibilities for improving YPE. During a virtual session on May 25th, PIRE will meet with providers to share information about the preliminary thoughts for the surveying and seek input from providers to begin further developing the survey plans. The session will focus on:
- Gaining an understanding of providers’ experiences implementing YPE and, as applicable, conducting pre/post surveying,
- Learning about providers’ current plans for YPE implementation during the next school year, to the extent they are known at this time, and
- Receiving providers’ input on critical elements to consider for successfully coordinating with and conducting paper-pencil and online pre/post surveys in schools.
We are encouraging all providers who implement youth prevention education to join us during this very informative session. You can register here: https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZArcuyupz8vH9IIqQ-FWVvx6killcEHtGf-
