Did you know that Presenting, like giving a speech is one of the top 3 fears for Humans? Every presentation, whether to one person or to many is a valuable opportunity to connect, inform, persuade, educate, or motivate others. The problem with most presenters is that they are either too afraid and too nervous or too rushed or not equipped with techniques to embrace the art of presenting or speaking in front of and to others.
In this interactive workshop participants will learn how to avoid the 18 common pitfalls
(mistakes) Presenters make. Discover practical solutions and learn tips and tools for
enhanced success in their role as a Presenter. Each participant will leave the session with an
action plan to increase their success as a Presenter. The delivery of this workshop will use a
combination of content, breakout rooms, chat box and group discussion to achieve the
intend outcomes stated below.
Learning Objectives/Outcomes:
• Explore the common pit falls that Presenters make.
• Learn tips, tools, and techniques to increase your effectiveness as a Presenter.
• Expand the learning with small group and large group discussions.
• Block Grant Providers will create an action plan to implement immediately to better
communicate with their communities.
