These measures were developed to help prevention specialists test the effectiveness of the Lock Your Meds campaign in their community. They include adult and youth survey measures. The adult survey items are intended to be a short, standalone assessment that could be used at events such as health fair, town hall meeting, or other community presentations, as well as a part of the community health assessment. The youth measures could be used as standalone survey items, or be embedded into a comprehensive youth prevention survey. If survey measures are embedded into another survey it is recommended that you consult with an evaluator to ensure that they are consistent with the original survey, and that the intent of the measure remains the same if modified.
